After much research and review I decided to buy this handy steamer for my linoleum kitchen floor. I've only used it once thus far but I love it!!! It leaked a small amount of water while heating up, but you sit it on a temperature protective pad, and none of it even leaked off that little pad. My floors dried super fast and it got a lot of disgusting dirt out. I am a college student with two cats and a dog and my roommate and I both love to cook so our kitchen floor was rather disgusting. It didn't magically clean it all up super fast, but it did much better than I expected. It did get very hot (I was mopping in bare feet) but cooled and dried quickly as my cat followed me around the kitchen and didn't leave footprints. I had to go fairly slowly but it was easy to push and the handle is height adjustable. The tank of water just finished my townhouse kitchen but that was over about 15/20 minutes of slow cleaning to get the stuff that was ground in. Best of all my floors were left clean, dry, and not sticky! I am sure it will get even better as I continue to use it. Tomorrow's project is the couch. The only downsides are the limited tank and that it does much better if you go slowly. I will recommend this to my friends and family and keep using it to keep my house clean and sanitary!
